A mining investigation is an investigations similar to the corporate investigations that deal with the mining industry as a whole.

Types of mining investigations could include:
Workplace Bullying
Any repeated, unreasonable behaviour toward an employee or group that risks health and safety—such as excessive criticism, exclusion from discussions or events, or belittling work—is considered workplace bullying
Workplace Discrimination
It is illegal to discriminate and the workplace is no different. If a person is treated less favourably based on their gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation or disability could be an unlawful ground of discrimination
Workplace Sexual Harassment
Any unwanted or unwelcome sexual behaviour that humiliates, intimidates, or offends a person, whether verbal, physical, or visual, is considered sexual harassment and is unacceptable in any workplace or environment
Mining Safety
If an employee has a serious accident or near miss or an employee suffers an injury due to one of these violations, would constitute a mining safety investigation.
Criminal Matters
Any matters committed in the workplace either by the employee or employer could be a matter for a mining investigation. Matters may include theft, fraud, the use of illegal drugs and physical violence.
