What is an Education Sector Investigation?
An education sector investigation is an investigation into the education sector. This is predominately investigations in to private education providers such as Registered Training Organisations and privately funded schools.
Education sector investigations are similar in nature to corporate investigations.
Types of Education Sector investigations could include:
Company policy violations
Matters in the education sector involving repeated breaches of company policy or serious offences are considered significant and may trigger a corporate investigation to ensure compliance, accountability, and protection of organisational integrity
Employee theft
Employee theft is common in the workplace and particularly in the education sector, and may include vendor fraud, money laundering, embezzlement, accounting irregularities, misappropriation, and missing or stolen inventory
